[OPIC] 오픽 스크립트 - 집에 생겼던 문제에 대해 이야기하기

 

There are always problems which happen in any home. Tell me about some problems or issues that have happend in your home.

어느 집이든 항상 문제가 발생하기 마련이야. 너의 집에 있었던 문제에 대해 이야기해줘. 

 

오늘은 집에 생겼던 문제에 관한 에피소드를 말하는 문제입니다. 

이런 주제는 자기가 겪은 일로 쓰는 것이 가장 외우기도 쉽고 말하기도 쉽죠!  

그래서 월세를 사는 사람이라면 겪어봄직한 내용을 준비해봤습니다! 

 

 

[우리 집에 누수 발생했던 이야기] 

 

(도입) 

Last year, I had a problem in my house.
작년에 우리집에 문제가 있었어. 

 

(문제 묘사) 
One day, while having breakfast in the kitchen, I noticed a small stain on the wall. 

어느 날 내가 부엌에서 아침을 먹는 중에 벽에 작은 얼룩을 발견한거야. 

It gradually grew larger each day, and I realized there was a water leak from the ceiling. 

그 얼룩은 매일 점점 커졌고 나는 천장에서 물이 새고 있다는 사실을 깨달았어. 

 

*notice: 알아채다   *gradually: 서서히 

*water leak: 누수 

 

(문제해결) 

As I was renting the property at the time, I promptly contacted my landlord, who sent a professional to detect the source of the leak.

난 그때 월세를 살고 있었기 때문에, 빠르게 집주인에게 연락을 했고, 집주인은 누수의 원인을 찾는 전문가를 보내주었어. 

He discovered a crack in the upper floor bathroom that was causing a leak.
그(전문가)는 윗층의 화장실에 균열이 있어서 누수가 발생한다는 것을 발견했어. 
Once the crack was fixed, the wall in my house began to dry. And My landlord paid to remove and redo the wallpaper.

균열이 고쳐지자, 우리집의 벽이 마르기 시작했어. 그리고 집주인이 벽지를 고쳐줬어. 

 

*property: 재산, 부동산, 건물 

- 부동산을 real estate이라고 보통 하지만 real property라고도 합니다. 눈에 보이는 물리적 자산이라는 의미이죠. 
  그래서 property를 건물이라는 의미로도 사용합니다. 

*promptly: 빠르게 (=quickly, swiftly) 

*landlord: (방·집·사무실 등을 빌려주는) 주인, 임대주, 임대 회사

 

(나의 감상 및 클로징) 

During those few weeks, I was quite stressed out because I had to talk to different people to come and fix the issue at my place. Additionally, I had to endure an earthy smell caused by the water leak.

그 몇주간 나는 꽤 스트레스를 받았는데 왜냐하면 여러사람들한테 전화를 해서 우리집에 와서 문제를 고치도록 해야했기 때문이야. 게다가 누수로 인한 흙냄새를 견뎌야 했어. 

Anyway, I'm glad the leak was fixed quickly. I hope it won't happen again. 

아무튼 누수가 금방 고쳐져서 다행이야. 다시는 이런 일이 일어나지 않기를 바래.

 

*stressed out: 스트레스를 받다 --> 쉽지만 자주 쓸법한 표현이죠 

*I hope it won't happen again: 다시는 이런일이 일어나지 않기를 바란다. --> 통으로 외워두면 활용도 높은 문장입니다.

**스크립트 구성 시 참고사항**

본인의 스크립트를 쓸 때  도움이 될만한 2가지 포인트 입니다. 

 

1. 스크립트를 몇개의 덩어리로 나눠서 기승전결 구조로 만들어보세요. 

예)  도입 - 문제묘사 - 문제해결 - 나의 감상 및 클로징 

 

구조가 있는 스크립트는 쓰기도 쉽고 외우기도 쉬워집니다

 

2. 접속사나 연결구를 적절하게 사용해보세요.

예) Although - 비록 xx 이긴 하지만 

      Because/ Since - 왜냐하면 

      Additionally - 게다가, 또 

      Specifically - 특히 

      However - 그러나  

      Nevertheless - 그럼에도 불구하고 

 

앞뒤 문장의 연결성이 명확해져서, 확실히 듣는 사람이 이해하기 쉽습니다. 

듣는 사람이 이해하기 쉬우면 우리가 말을 잘한다고 인식하기 쉽겠죠!
